Exhibition Park will be selling Tour tickets to participate in the Saturday August 19th tour for the interested public. The tour will consist of 4 participating selected farms to see and experience how their products are produced or grown.

Broek Pork Acres
Broek Pork Acres is a unique and local direct marketing family farm that raises and processes pasture raised hogs and have a clear focus on quality rather than quantity. Their pasture to plate process includes hands on approach that ensures the quality and freshness of the end product. They grow their own grain & hay for feed, raise their own hogs, process the meat and market the pork to various high end restaurants, meat shops, community grocery stores and directly to Albertan families. This tour stop will showcase the ins and outs of running a protein producer farm as well as some hands on elements to showcase the daily jobs at the farm.
Fairwinds Farm produces organic goat milk and cheeses from goats they raise on their farm. The Oudshoorn family are the people behind the Farm, which is located outside Fort Macleod. They began goat farming in 1994 and started selling the milk in 1999. They are a certified organic farm and use no hormones or forced artificial breeding practices. They produce their own organic hay and feed on the farm for the goats. This tour stop will show the entire process of running a cheese farm, from the milking to the manufacturing of all of their different products.
Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding
Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association is a non-profit organization that provides therapy through contact with horses. The Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association is composed of the Kinsmen Learning Centre which houses offices and activity areas, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, stables, paddocks and pastures situated on 44 acres of land. Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding hopes to showcase the needs and duties of caring for horses, from the care of their hooves to the job of saddling up. This will be a very interactive stop getting up close and personal to a 1,000 kg animal. Wagon Rides activities are planned but subject to change.
Fork in the Rowed
A small scale organic farm in southern Alberta currently in the process of becoming fully organic certified. They produce an array of different vegetables as well as offer high quality BC fruit. The sustainable operation uses solar power, rain water, and a lot of manual labour to harvest the crops. This stop will explain the process of running an organic farm as well as showcasing the day to day duties of planting to harvesting the produce they grow.
The tour will begin at the Lethbridge Exhibition Park North parking area and departing at 9:00am.
The tour includes 4 farms. (Subject to change)
Guests will be encouraged to come early to enjoy the farmers market before the bus departs.

9:00 am Board Bus – Depart to first farm
9:30 am Tour first farm – Broek Pork Acres
10:30 pm Board Bus – Depart to Fairwinds Farm
11:15 pm Arrive at second farm- Fairwinds Farm
12:15 pm Board bus – Depart to Therapeutic Riding Academy facility (lunch on bus)
1:15 pm Arrive at – Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding
2:30 pm Board bus – Depart for fourth farm – Fork in the Rowed
2:45 pm Arrive at fourth farm – Fork in the Rowed
3:45 pm Depart for Exhibition Park
4:00 pm Arrive Back
