Farmer’s Market Returns to Exhibition Park – Opening Saturday, May 13 –
Lethbridge, Alberta- The ever popular and annual favorite of Southern Albertans returns Saturday, May 13 at Exhibition Park, indoors in the West Pavilion.
The Saturday Farmer’s Market starting May 13, opens at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 1:00 p.m. The last market of the season is on October 28. There is no admission or parking fee.
Over 50 exhibitors are expected for this Saturday’s opening at the West Pavilion Farmers Market which is presented by Downtown Lethbridge.
The Farmers’ Market offers products that are made, baked or grown which means you can find crafts, fresh fruit and vegetables, home made baking, art work, hand made clothing, and much more! Over 3000 people attend the Saturday Markets.
- May 13th – First Market- Face painter for the kids, Craft area for kids to make mothers day cards & Flowers for the moms. Still in the planning stages so things may change
- July 1 – Canada Day- Tattoos and candy for the kids, Craft area, wear your Red & White!
- August 12 – The Dream Catchers in Pioneer Park – Gates open at 11. Food and shopping vendors, The Dream Catcher Dancers Dance performance at 1:15 after the market closes. Gates close at 3. Free Admission
- August 26 – Whoop-Up Days special hours 8am-11am
- October 28th – Halloween – Candy for the kids who come dressed in costumes, Costume contest for Vendors, and Costume contest for adults who come dressed up. Kids craft area.
Wednesday Downtown Lethbridge Farmers’ Market
12th Annual Downtown Lethbridge Summer Farmers’ Market Kicks Off Wednesday, July 5
Lethbridge Exhibition Park and Downtown Lethbridge BRZ announced today that the 12th annual Downtown Farmers Market is in preparation to open on Festival Square in Downtown Lethbridge at 3rd Avenue and 6th Street South.
The Downtown Lethbridge Farmers’ Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on each Wednesday from July 5th to September 6th.
24 vendors have registered to attend the opening of the Wednesday Market. There are 19 returning full time vendors and 5 new full time vendors, and casual vendors coming to diversify the market each week. Over 700 people attend the Wednesday market weekly.
New vendors are still being accepted. Applications also are being taken for the Community Table, which offers a free table to non profit groups.
Prize giveaways will highlight the Downtown Market also. In celebration of the 120 Anniversary, Exhibition Park will give away a $120 Gift card for the Saturday Farmers Market. Entry will only be at the Downtown Market. Draw to be made after the Sept. 6 Downtown Market.
Downtown Lethbridge, visitlethbridge and the Lethbridge Bulls Baseball Club also will be part of the kick-off to the Summer farmers Market next Wednesday with weekly contests to win tickets to Bulls games.
In addition, Lethbridge Bulls players will be present with their Mascot, T-Bone for a meet and greet and autograph session. Bring your Bulls souvenirs to get autographed. There will also be bleacher ticket vouchers giveaways.
In addition, Downtown Lethbridge, visitlethbridge.com and the Lethbridge Bulls have teamed up to provide the Ultimate Fan Experience package for the final Downtown Farmers Market on September 6th.
The Ultimate Fan Experience package includes two Lethbridge Bulls season tickets for the 2018 season, two baseballs autographed by the 2017 team, two hats and two t-shirts with a total value of $750. Details can be found at VisitLethbridge.com and DowntownLethbridge.com.

The Saturday Market is the largest of its’ kind in Southern Alberta and is rated as one of the top 10 best Farmer’s Markets in Alberta.
The Westside Farmers Market has been discontinued.
